The week went by way too fast and before we knew it we were saying goodbye to my parents. After swimming and grabbing some lunch with the Gillespies, we went home for a quick rest and then took my parents to see the Ballard Locks. This is where the ships cross from fresh water to the ocean and back. It was really neat and we got there at the perfect time to see a few boats in action. We watched a few boats pull into the locks where the gates would close behind them and the water was adjusted raising or lowering the ships enough to sail into the other body of water safely. These kinds of things are so impressive to me that someone conceived this idea and put it into action and were able to successfully build them. After watching a few ships go by, we crossed over to the other side of the locks to see the fish ladders where Salmon would jump and swim back and forth between the fresh and salt water.
This was the top view of the salmon ladders where we were able to see tons of fish swimming and jumping.
Tanner is so animated and right as I went to take this picture he saw something that he thought was neat and said, "WOAH" while covering his mouth up with his hands.

Matt was trying to teach Tanner how to roll down the hills like his sisters.
Sienna kept rolling down while Sadie would try to run which ended up with more than one fall.
