“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

Sienna and Max

We have been having so much fun with Emily and Max. We are still waiting for our pictures from Friday of the kids. I still can't believe Sienna is 6 months old. She is getting so big and mobile.
.
Arranged marriage?

Max is such a happy boy. These two have fun together, and Max is starting to sit up.

I love this outfit. I think I bought it so Sienna could wear her blue headband.

Sienna has turned into quite a monkey. She loves to climb onto and over everything and everyone.

Oh yeah, Sienna is crawling!!! She's been so close for over a month now and she finally decided to move her arms.

Sienna plays and Max just watches.

Why do the boys get the hair?

On the way to church.

Oh, so sweet!

Sienna loves her sandals. It kind of slows her down when trying to move but she loves to play with them.

THEY'RE HERE!!!

Emily and Max got here safely. We are having so much fun. Em and I took the kids to the mall today and got lots of fun stuff. Since they have been here (they arrived last night) we have eaten brownies and ice cream, watched a lot of "The Office", gone shopping, out to lunch, visited Matt at work, and much more. Ahead of us is more ice-cream, The Cheesecake Factory, pictures of the kids, and that is just the beginning. I am SO happy!
.
COULD SHE BE ANY CUTER? I don't think so. I am just hoping that she isn't grabbing her ears because they are bothering her. I don't know that she'd have such a cute smile on her face if that was the case.

6 teeth... wow! That explains the little tantrums lately. She is constantly rubbing her tongue against her teeth. So cute.

Max came and surprised Sienna while she was taking a bath this morning. That is allowed at this age, I guess. Max just got up out of bed and Sienna just got out of the tub. This was the first time they saw each other this trip.

Sienna at the mall. She hates our new stroller. Good thing it cost a whopping 10$. We bought it so Emily didn't have to haul Max's stroller on the plane.

Sienna is in bed. Max is being super fun. Don't you love the hair? But seriously, why do the boys get it all? NO FAIR. He is a funny boy. I promise we will have more pictures of the babies together tomorrow. In fact, we are going to go take pictures of them together at the botanical gardens.

2 Days!

I think this is the first time EVER that I was glad the weekend was over. It was really nice having Matt home but other than that the weekend was just too stressful. Now I am just looking forward to Wednesday because that is when Emily and Max will be here!!! ONLY 2 DAYS!!! I am so excited to see Em that I don't think I am going to let her make her flight home. I guess she'll just have to go to Alabama with me.
The latest news with Sienna is that she is 6 months old, she has 4 teeth, and she pulls herself up onto things now. (even though she doesn't choose to crawl yet... still belly flopping and scooting around.)
.
We went to a friend's wedding reception this weekend. It was the nicest/most expensive wedding that we have ever been to. It was absolutely gorgeous.

This is Sienna's newest toy. Grandma Andrea and the gang sent it for her 6 month b-day. It is quite fun and Sienna loves it.

Her toy can turn into drums too. I think that is her favorite.

This isn't the best picture of Sienna but dad looks good! I really like this fun summer dress that Sienna was wearing. Different, but fun.

Not Feeling Well

Sienna didn't sleep very well last night. She doesn't have a fever but her eyes and nose have been very runny. I am thinking that she has allergies but she has her 6 month check up next week and we'll see what the doctor says. Can you believe it? She is 6 months old, tomorrow! As cliche as it is, time flies.
Matt hasn't been doing well lately either. He can't breathe at all. I really think we are looking forward to his surgery more than we are Christmas. We are really confident in his new allergist and surgeon and think they by attacking both problems (allergies and sinuses) at the same time, we may get somewhere this time around. I sure hope so, or I am afraid that Matt will try some surgery of his own.

Here is another cute shirt from grandma. We didn't stay in it too long because it got pretty warm today. Do you see the tears in her eyes? Even though she hasn't been feeling well or sleeping much, she has still been pretty fun. I think everything caught up with her though and she has crashed. I am expecting her to sleep for the next couple hours.
.
I always do something funny with Sienna's hair when I put lotion on her in the mornings. Yesterday, she ended up with a mohawk. It made her look like a little boy but it was nice to see that her hair was growing out.

"Hi Matt"

Sienna talks and talks and talks (like her mom). She says "mama" and "dadda" quite a bit now. Yesterday, we were all playing together and I was trying to get her to say "dadda" for Matt because he hasn't heard it much and she said, "Hi Matt." It was hilarious. We aren't really counting it as her first words because I am pretty sure she had no idea what she was saying. Both Matt and I heard it though.
.
On our way to church. Matt wasn't feeling well because of his allergies but he was a trooper and went anyway. Thank goodness, because I had to teach the 6 year olds and he was a big help.

Sienna was so happy at home and wasn't looking forward to going to church but she did really well and the kids loved playing with her.

This is a new shirt from Grandma Anne. It says Marine Princess. She got it in California while saying goodbye to Uncle Kirk. He is officially in Iraq now. Keep him in your prayers!

Time to Relax

THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY! We have had another fun/busy week. I am glad it is a weekend so Matt and I can spend some time together. I think we are going to do things in the yard and around the house mostly. We love hanging out with friends but it will be nice to have a weekend to ourselves. We were going to go to Tulsa for the BYU game but we decided not to drive that far. Instead, we will probably have friends over to watch the game. I guess we'll have a Friday to ourselves. Oh well, we love friends.
.
Sienna and I decided to have a super casual, relaxing day on Wednesday. We missed our morning walk so we went to Southlake during the afternoon to walk around and look at the different shops. It was great weather and Sienna enjoyed putting her feet in the fountain.

This is a picture of Sienna at Mimi's Cafe later that night. She gets so excited when we are eating. I can't wait until we can feed her anything we have.

Getting ready to go furniture shopping.

Sienna and I wanted to pick Matt up from work today after we were done shopping, but we had a couple of hours to waste. We went to the park and hung out for awhile watching some people play tennis. It was nice being outside. After awhile, it was getting pretty warm so we got in the car with the A/C. Sienna loved hanging out in the front seat with me. We had a great time together today. She is getting so fun.

Peek-A-Boo

Things are still going really well. Sienna and I have enjoyed the cooler weather lately. It has been so beautiful and nice outside.
.
Sienna loves to munch on cold celery. You can hear her little teeth crunching through the skin when she bites down.

Sienna loves peek-a-boo. I put her burp cloth on her head and she pulls it off laughing.

Isn't she adorable?

Getting ready to make her move.

Goofy picture, but you can see her teeth.

This is the TWG softball team that I play with. We had a game last night that really just turned into a joke. At one point Aaron (far left) hit what would have been a home run except for the fact that Ben (far right) gave him a little push from coaching 3rd base which caused the ump to call Aaron out. Later on, Aaron was coaching 3rd base and raced Ben to home plate during the game. The umpire was quite confused and made Aaron sit in the dugout and forbade him to coach anymore. It was so funny. That is just a glimpse of what happened- there were about 5-10 other random rules we managed to brake. We still managed to kill the other team and I think everyone -even the officials- had a great time.

The Cutest Girl at Chucky Cheese

We have had a great few days. Last weekend was insanely busy but tons of fun. We spent lots of time with friends and getting errands done on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, we had some other friends over for a huge pork chop dinner. It was delicious. Things have been going really well for us lately and we have been having so much fun. Sienna is growing up so fast. One of our favorite things lately has been talking to Matt's family while using our web cam so they can watch Sienna play. We are going to do it with my family too, but they have been in California saying goodbye to Kirk. Kirk leaves for Iraq on Saturday. Sienna and I also sent a huge package of goodies to Uncle Kyle in the MTC. I hope he likes it! Matt says that food is the last thing you need in the MTC, but what else are we going to send him? He'll have enough snacks and candy for the full two years! - - - I almost forgot...the best news we have is that we bought tickets to go to Utah!!! We are all going for Thanksgiving, but Sienna and I made our tickets to stay a week longer. No wonder I am in a fantastic mood right now.
.
I have to brag - I think the Liechty grandkids are the cutest!

Sienna and I have so much fun together.

Still not crawling but getting pretty darn close. She kicks herself forward to get where she wants to go.

Cute little Ben turns 1 tomorrow so we went to Chucky Cheese last night to help him celebrate. Ben and Sienna kept taking turns putting their fingers in each others' mouths. They had the most fun doing that while the adults played in the arcade. (The sticker on Sienna's back is so that others can't kidnap her... nice little system Chucky Cheese has.)

We tried to get a picture of Sienna and Ben together but little Ben was terrified of Chucky.

San Antonio and no pictures...

It was so nice having a three day weekend. Matt and I went to San Antonio to see the Richardsons. Mike and Dyan drove down with us which made the car ride tons of fun and quick. Sienna was great in the car except for about 30 minutes of screaming on the way down. It was fun being back in San Antonio since I haven't been there for about 6 years. We went to the River walk, Alamo, out to eat, and played lots of Rook. We came home Sunday afternoon so we could have Monday to do things around the house. We were able to accomplish a lot in the morning, then we went to Baja for some delicious Mexican food, and then went grocery shopping. Matt and I had such a fun weekend together. I think we are going to do small trips like San Antonio more often. It was a quick trip, but it was so much fun. Too bad Utah isn't a 4 hour drive away!
.
Starting the day with more push-ups. Don't you love her polo?

I didn't get the camera out until the morning we were leaving. I am so frustrated with myself that I didn't get pictures of us downtown. Instead, I got pictures of all of us right out of the shower and on our way out the door.

Brud is turning 50 on Thursday. My mom sent him "15 days of your birthday." She sent him the funniest gag gifts. Too bad we aren't going to be there for the big FIVE-O.

This frog was sitting on our car Sunday afternoon when we were getting ready to go to our friends house for cake and ice-cream. We have tons of frogs in our backyard but they are really fat and round (like toads). This is the first tree frog we have seen. We wonder if it hitched a ride from somewhere else.

This is Sienna's cute friend Ethan. He is such a funny little guy. Our friends Lee and Loralee recently adopted him from Uganda. We love him.

So sleepy

Sienna and I had a pajama party last night but she fell asleep before we got any pictures. We recharged the batteries over night and caught the happy girl first thing in the morning.
