“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

Movers are Here!

They came and picked up our stuff and shipped it to Texas. Thank goodness our friend there is willing to sign for it all since we're heading to California. (Our stuff didn't fill one truck let alone both...)

30 Days of 30!

Matt is still in Texas for training but today is "Day 1 of 30 days of turning 30" for him. The kids and I have put together little gifts for him every day for the next thirty days to help him celebrate his birthday. Today he has some things to open up from us but I also wanted to post this fun list of some favorite memories or fun facts about Matt.  Sienna saw me typing this and wanted me to add that she loves her daddy so much because he loves us and takes care of us. She couldn't be more right. We have the best daddy/husband in the world and can't wait to have him back so we can move to our new home and start our new journey.

Tanner Escaped

I was packing up and organizing my room and figured I better come check on Tanner. He made his way out back with Shelby to play in the water, got drenched and was having a blast. Little stinker. He sure looked handsome with his tie and daddy's hat though.

Family Camp Out

We thought it would be fun to pull out our tent and sleep in the backyard with the kids...and it was! This  is the same tent I grew up using with my parents and they gave us all one for Christmas. It has to be one of the best gifts ever. We LOVE it and can't wait to put it to more use this summer. It is spacious (we all fit so easily with the pack and play and all), durable and very easy to set up. We had so much fun hanging out, playing Reach for the Stars and doing our other bedtime routines in the tent. The kids got to sleep outside two nights in a row and then thought that meant they would be sleeping in the tent until Daddy left for Texas. Good thing I could blame grandpa needing to water the lawn for our reason to take it down. We also need to pack it up so we can take it to California with us.

Loving the Warm Weather

Abby loves to eat and tries to steal any piece of food from everyone so she loved that Sadie had a banana muffin with her on her bike ride. Yesterday at family pictures, Abby found a cupcake and devoured it, frosting and all. Oops.

The kids were drawing mazes for their "roly-polies".

Teacher Appreciation

"We wish we had S'MORE time with you"

I am not a crafty person and don't use Pinterest but I wanted to do something nice for Sienna's teacher. I opened the cupboards to see what we had and proceeded to steal some of Grandpa Dug's chocolate bars and marshmallows to make this work. I had already bought the Reese's for Mrs. Headman because they are her favorite but it just wasn't enough. I think these turned out pretty cute. Especially with the little book and letters Sienna wrote.

Grandma Anne

Grandma Anne is so much fun. As Sienna told her friend yesterday, "she let's us do whatever we want." She also spends time playing with the kids. The other day we came upstairs to find my mom coloring and cutting out snowflakes with the girls. They spent hours together coloring. We are sure going to miss Grandma!!

Sienna's Last Game

Sienna had her last soccer game yesterday and played so great. I think we've found her special activity/sport. She loves soccer and has a natural gift. Hopefully, we can continue to find ways to let her keep playing so she can keep improving and growing. She told us while driving by campus about a month ago that she wants to play for BYU when she is in college.
