Plethora of Pictures

Here are some of our family pictures that we had taken yesterday.

Before the real post, here is Matt's tag. It is a complete mockery of other tags and every answer has an inside joke to it or comes from a movie/sitcom. I hope you enjoy.

Now for the real post.
.
We have had a wonderful weekend full of lots of time outside. Sienna spent Friday with a bunch of different friends. Saturday, we had family pictures taken in the blue bonnets and then spent a couple hours at Southlake Town Center. It was such a wonderful day with the best weather. We got some ice-cream and Sienna had a blast exploring. She spent at least 30-45 minutes just running around watching the other kids and being chased by Matt.
.
Today, we are just taking it easy and getting ready for Utah. Usually, I pack the day we leave but I am too antsy to sit around so I think we'll pack today. That will also give me a chance to make sure I don't forget anything important (like Dan's wedding ring!).
Sienna playing with her friend Jocie (... short for Jocelyn pronounced Jossie). It has been so beautiful outside with a little breeze.
Cracker in one hand and a ball in the other, can't beat that. Sienna loves chasing tennis balls down the sidewalk.

Sienna has always liked to have a treat in each hand. She has never enjoyed just one at a time. Friday, she wanted 5 crackers to be satisfied. She kept switching hands but then decided to try and eat them all at once.

Sometimes she forces things on other people, but at least she likes to share.

"...and throw it in the oven..." Patty-cake is one of her favorite songs right now. 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed is her all time favorite because she loves saying, "no, no, no" at the end.

Eating string cheese and relaxing.

Hanging out with Audrey and Andrew. Sienna had just kissed her hand and then she was putting in on Andrew's face. Half the time when you ask Sienna for a kiss, she'll just put her hand on your mouth. Sienna loves giving kisses. We'll be reading a book and she'll lean over to kiss the animals.

Eating some gelato at the park.

It's just a little fountain with grassy areas around it, nothing too exciting. However, Sienna was in heaven. She would have walked around this path for hours if we let her.

Sienna running away from Matt after finding him while playing hide-and-seek before bed. Her Great Grandma Shumway made this night gown for her.

Roseola, Our Poor Baby

It turns out that the fever Sienna had a few days ago most likely wasn't from her teeth. She has now broken out in a rash from head to toe. We were up until 3am this morning because she was so restless. Matt ran to the store to get some benadryl and then we all got a few hours of great sleep. Our poor little girl. She has a rash all over her face, tummy, back, etc. It is really unfortunate too because we were going to take family pictures in the blue bonnets tomorrow as a surprise for my mom. She loves blue bonnets and there is a very short window of when they are around. We all have new-coordinating outfits though.
.
She is going down for a nap. She looks unhappy but really wasn't. She is just a little drowsy from the medicine.

Pudding Anyone?

Things have been pretty relaxing here lately. Sienna and I spent most of yesterday cleaning and today we went to lunch just the two of us to get some beans and rice. Tonight Matt went to a Mavericks game with a friend so Sienna and I had some more time together. I'm glad Matt got to go to the game. He is really good about always wanting to be around me and Sienna and doesn't leave us often. I am glad when things like this come up because he needs some fun time for himself. I'm looking forward to Utah for many reasons, one of them being that Matt will be able to get out one on one with his dad and go golfing. Plus, Sienna is so fun and I would never complain about having time to hang out with her. She has attitude and pushes my buttons a lot but she is one of the sweetest little girls ever too. She is always running up to me and Matt giving us hugs and kisses. It is easy to look past her tantrums when she follows them up with a huge grin and hugs and kisses.

Trying so hard to get the last little bit of pudding.

After she realized she couldn't get anymore with the spoon she decided to lick it right from the cup.

She got a fever of 101.6 last night right before going to bed so all she wanted to do was snuggle after her bath. She was so funny and kept saying, "momma, momma, dadda, momma," and laughing. I think she is getting her molars and maybe some other teeth too. No fun but she woke up without the fever and seemed to be feeling much better.

I've Been Tagged

What were you doing 10 years ago?
I was in 6th grade. I broke my arm the very first of the school year at a "back to school" party with our ward. They had to rush me to the emergency room to make sure I didn't break/injure my neck and back too. They actually put me on a stretcher when we got to the ER. I had a crush on Colin Schmutz and my best friends were Lauren, Jamie, Catie, and Carly- still 4 of my closest friends. I was a tomboy and spent most of my time playing sports and spending all day every day outside. (I just realized that 10 years ago, it was the very end of 5th grade for me. Oh well)
.
5 Things on my to do list today:
1. Watch Conference
2. Go on a walk
3. Play with Sienna
4. Organize pictures (Emily is going to scrapbook for me!!)
5. Make dinner
(There isn't a lot on our to do list because it is Sunday)
.
3 Bad Habits
1. I can be very judgemental
2. I criticize myself to the point of driving Matt absolutely crazy
3. Spending lots of money on other people
.
If I were suddenly a billionaire?
We would pay off of our house and car. Matt would invest most of it. Matt would let me buy the bedding/furniture that I want for the girls' room (and that was only if we were billionaires... a million wouldn't cut it for him). We would buy Doug a Saleen S7 just so we could stay the favorites forever, and we would buy Matt's parents their dream house. Matt and I would both love to travel a lot and find ways to help other people.
.
4 Places I have lived:
1. Orem-UT
2. Provo-UT
3. Mt. Olive-AL (if you count 6 weeks...I haven't lived many places)
4. Keller, TX
.
5 Jobs I have had:
1. Doug's Auto Inc.
2. Temp Job at a lending firm
3. TNI call center
4. TNI Project Manager/Director's Assistant
5. Being Mommy!
.
5 Things people don't know about me:
1. I was only 18 when I got married and had only been dating Matt 5 weeks before we were engaged.
2. I absolutely love the outdoors, camping, hiking, biking, etc. Even though I couldn't care less for spiders and odd looking bugs.
3. I refuse to lose contact with a lot of my friends from over the years. I will randomly call a friend I worked with that I haven't talked to in months just to catch up and see how they are doing.
4. I get crazy when it comes to birthdays, weddings, holidays, etc for other people. I am always trying to convince Matt to spend 10x more than what he is willing.
5. Matt and I have planned a Caribbean Cruise for February 2009 with some friends. We are still in the process of getting things organized but we are 90% sure that we are going to go.
I now tag Kiera, Emily, Reni, Sharee, Alyssa, Brittney - anyone that wants to participate.

Messy Girl (and another cake...)

Thank goodness it's Friday (tomorrow). I am so excited for the weekend. We don't have a lot going on and maybe that is why I am most excited. It is going to be a weekend of house work and conference. I am really excited for General Conference but it is going to be sad not having President Hinkley there.

Here is our messy girl. Sienna is a good eater, it just takes her a long time and she makes a huge mess in the process. That's just part of the fun of having a 1 year old, right?!

Here is the latest cake. This is my least favorite. I am not impressed and to be honest, I am a little embarrassed to have Matt take it in to work. One of the guys at Matt's work served a mission in Brazil and it is his birthday so his team leader wanted me to make a cake resembling Brazil's flag. I tried. Hopefully it will taste good so they'll give me another chance.

This is a picture of the actual flag.
