“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

Can't Forget the Petting Zoo

I can't leave out pictures of the petting zoo because we all know how obsessed my kids are with animals. It was fun because the goats could get through the ropes and would wonder around so the kids could walk right up to them.

Kate and Sienna petting the goat. They also had hogs and llamas. Did you know that the only difference between a pig and a hog is their weight? If it weighs more than 140 pounds it is considered a hog. Random but I had no idea.

More from Disney

Here are more pictures from our weekend in Disney World.

My mom was attacked the second she walked in the door. Happy big 5-0 mom, I hope your trip was everything you hoped for. Thank you for letting us all celebrate it with you.

Grandpa chasing Sienna through the house. We stayed at a condo and it made things so nice. It was only a couple miles from the parks and had 5 bedroom and 4 bathrooms. It also had a pool that we chose not to use because of the weather. It was so great staying in a house rather than hotel because we would come home every night, put the kids to bed, and watch the Olympics together and just hang out.

Tree of Life. It was fun spotting the different animals in the bark. We also went to A Bug's Life in 3D that the kids enjoyed. The loved all of the shows. We were also able to see Lion King and Finding Nemo.

Me and my desert queen on the safari. The safari was one of my favorite things we did.

Sadie and Dash-Man.

Sitting front and center for the parade which was AWESOME! The whole trip was so much fun and worked out really nicely. We loved Animal Kingdom so much we decided to spend two days there and never made it to the other parks.

The animals in the parade were pretty neat.

Happy birthday mom. We love you so much! After this trip, there is no denying that you are probably all of your grand kids most favorite person in the whole world.

Painted Faces

Ella, Sienna, and Kate got their faces painted at the Animal Kingdom. We were all super impressed at how well the girls sat still until their faces were finished. This was the best ten dollars spent because of how neat they thought it was. Ella asked us many times throughout the day if she had smeared her mask or if it was okay.
.
Sienna had watched Ella go first and get her face painted so as soon as we sat her in the chair she closed her eyes and just waited. It was so cute, she sat there for about a minute without moving even though nobody told her to or had started touching her face.

I bet you can't guess what design Sienna wanted.

A kitty cat, SURPRISE!! The only thing she would choose otherwise would have been a puppy if it was offered. After she was finished, Sienna spent about 20 minutes making faces at herself in the mirror.

Cutest cat in the world.

Characters

Disney World was a blast and my girls loved it. Their favorite part was meeting the different characters and we went at the perfect time of day when there weren't huge lines. The first day we spent in Magical Kingdom where we didn't see any characters and as we were leaving Sienna said, "I didn't get to see Mickey." I felt bad but we spent the next two days in Animal Kingdom and got to see a lot of our Disney friends. They didn't even care much about Mickey, they loved the Pooh characters and Donald Duck was Sienna's absolute favorite.

Magic Kingdom

We spent our first day at Disney World in the Magic Kingdom.

Matt, Ella, and Sienna on the parking lot trolley getting ready for our first day in Disney World!
.
Kate and Sienna only wanted to walk with Grandma. The would run away from us and we would call out my mom's name and she would put her hand down because she knew that meant one either Kate or Sienna were coming to walk with her, usually both of them.
.
THE CASTLE!! The kids were so excited to see the princess castle. Unfortunately, we didn't meet any of the princesses. After we had come home from our trip Matt's mom asked Sienna how her trip was and if she met any princesses. Sienna's response was, "NANA, the princesses are in the castle." Andrea told me it was so funny how she said it because she acted like that was the silliest question and of course she didn't meet them because they were in their castle. I'll need to get more pictures from Brit because she got some of the castle at night and it was beautiful.
.
The only other person the girls ever wanted was grandpa. The girls and I were looking through pictures when we got home and after seeing this one, Sienna said, "I love Grandpa Doug and his shoulders."
.
The line for Dumbo took awhile and Sadie fell asleep right as it was our turn but Sienna loved it. I held Sadie and Sienna made the elephant go up and down.
.
Getting ready to go on "It's a Small World." On this ride Ella said, "this is fabulous." I might have the quote mixed up with another because throughout the trip she said, "this is the best day of my life" and many other cute things.
.
The kids did not like the Snow White ride and I don't blame them, it was kind of freaky. Sadie had covered her eyes the whole time and was just starting to peak to see if it was getting any better.
.
My kids have the best grandparents ever. They are so blessed to have four amazing grandparents that would do anything and everything for them.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Matt and I have wanted and entertainment center since we got married and have recently found one that we love. Even though it was mostly what we wanted we decided that it would probably be best if we waited a little bit longer. However, I called the company to ask a couple of questions and it was such a good deal that we changed our minds and here is our Valentine's Day and 5th Anniversary present to each other. It adds so much to our living room and I absolutley love it! Maybe for our 10th anniversary I'll surprise Matt with a 50' TV to fill the opening but our tube works perfect for now. Thanks babe!!

Mr. & Mrs. Jacob

Our trip to Utah was for Mike and Adri's wedding. I was fortunate enough to be able to go a week earlier than Matt and be there with Adri as she went through the temple for the first time to receieve her own endowment. A week later, Matt was able to join me in the temple as we witnessed Adri and Mike sealed in the House of the Lord. What an amazing experience that was for everyone. They were sealed by the temple president and it was one of the most spiritual experiences I have ever witnessed. Everything about their wedding was absolutely beautiful and amazing. Mike couldn't have looked happier and Adrianne glowed. I am so grateful that we were able to share this special week with Adri and we are so proud of her choice to get married in the temple. We experienced feelings that day that we will never forget. We love you Adri and Mike!! Congratulations!
