“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

Baseball

Here is a conversation I had with a Home Depot employee. Apparently, I am huge.
.
Employee: "So, when are you due? 5 days ago?"
Me: "Uh yeah, like in 3 weeks"
Employee: "Well, I have this picture of my wife about 5 hours before I took her to the hospital with her shirt up and you look just like her."
Me: "cool"
(My favorite) Employee: "Are you having multiple babies?"
Me: "No, just one"
Employee: "Yeah, you're pretty small." (Great Save!!)
.
What the heck? It was pretty funny. People are so stupid. I don't take offense and just laugh at what lame comments people make, but seriously- what do these idiots say to people that are bigger than me? I know I am getting pretty big but there are plenty of pregnant people out there that are much larger than me.
.
At the Rangers game. Now you know what that guy was talking about, right?

Sienna loved ball park food and dancing to all the crazy music.

Happy Birthday Matt!

It was Matt's birthday on Tuesday. We didn't do a whole lot but I think he had a nice day. I actually didn't make him a cake. We are both sick of cake and so I took some chocolate chip cookies into work. This weekend I'll make him his favorite dessert - lemon sour cream pie. Happy birthday, babe. I love you!

I got him 25 different things to celebrate turning 25. It was a lot of fun shopping for him.

I had my last cake decorating class this week and we learned to make roses. I'm glad I got some training on this. The look so much better than the last ones I made. I still need some practice but at least you can tell they're roses this time.

I finally found a rug I love but it was way too small for our living room. I was going to return it but Matt loved it when he got home so it is now in our bedroom. We decided to keep it for our guest room or next house. I bought it on Overstock.com and it was a great deal. Also, when I was going through the process of returning it I didn't have to call them. They had an instant message customer service that I thought was fantastic. I know that is random but I hate spending forever on the phone getting answers so it was so nice being able to do it all via computer and not have to wait for email responses.

This picture is from a few days ago when we went to lunch. When I said it was time to go Sienna decided to climb on the table and play with the salt shaker.

Ghetto Golf and So Much More

Here are some pictures from the weekend.
.
We went miniature golfing with some friends but it was ridiculous. We had a great time but couldn't help but laugh when we showed up. It was the most ghetto/pathetic attempt at a mini golf course that any of us have ever seen.

This was honestly the extent of each hole. It was inside the outlet mall. The only obstacles to over come were slight inclines surrounded with orange tape. Remember, the lights were out and it was all glow in the dark.

Sienna loves her blankets and sleeps with about 5 of them at a time. After every nap she loves to pull them all out of her crib and carry them around.

Matt had to work Saturday morning so we got together with some friends for lunch afterwards. Kiersten and Isabel rode with us but we didn't realize that Sienna and Izzy were wearing the exact same shirt until we got there. It was cute!

This is what we look like before swimming thanks to the sun block.

I'm sorry I can't figure out how to rotate the video. This is Sienna at the doctor before all heck broke loose. Oh, by the way - Sienna still has a big head. She is now in the 25-50th % for weight. That is higher than in the past but she only weighs 21 lbs 4 oz fully dressed. She is 30.5 inches tall.

"Sprinkle"

Wednesday night our friend Loralee held a baby "sprinkle" for me at her house. It was for the women and wives from TWG. It was so fun and I am grateful for such great friends. Really, I haven't seen a lot of the girls that came for over 6 months because the company is getting so big and it is hard to keep up with everyone. It isn't common to have a baby shower for baby #2 especially for the same gender, but they insisted since they never had one for Sienna. I thought they were so sweet and we had a great time.
.
This is the announcement. I'm sorry you can't see it very well. Loralee wrote a cute little poem about how this was a "baby sprinkle" not a baby shower.

We got lots of onesies and clothes. This is just some of them. I got some other onesies that were so cute but after washing them, I don't know how a baby will ever fit into them. They are labeled 0-3 months but they were an inch or two smaller than Carter's Newborn onesies. So tiny. Do you see those adorable shoes?

Some more goodies. Seriously, Matt and I are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends out here and we just keep making more. Our housing development has turned into quite the TWG neighborhood. There are now 5 families from work that live here. Sienna loves having more friends around. I wish I was smart enough to get pictures of everyone at the baby shower but I kind of forgot to get the camera out until I got home.

Cannery, Chlorine, and Clown Cake

Here is a little recap of our weekend plus what we've been up to today.

People don't believe me when I say Sienna has 20 teeth so here is a picture.

At the cannery. Our supply is growing!

Matt and I got a babysitter and went out with some friends Friday night. We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner, Iron Man, and then to Piccamolo for some gelato. It was such a great night, we already have plans for this Friday in the making.

On the way to the pool this morning.

Sienna loved the fountains.

She got a little close few times. We had a great time but I chose not to wear sunscreen and now look like a lobster. Stupid me.

Here is the cake I decorated today at class. I love the clowns and think they are so cute. Too bad everyone is afraid of them. Oh and the cake is purple only because I had left over icing from Ariana's b-day and was too lazy to make another batch.

Aren't they cute? The clown heads are plastic but I did the rest with icing.

So fun!

You can make them do anything and it was actually pretty easy.

Here's to the Best 3 Dads Ever

Happy Father's Day everyone. These three men have changed my life so much for the better. I love them all deeply and am very grateful for everything they have done for me.
.
Dad, thank you for always being there for me. You are one of my best friends and I love you so much. You have always been such a great example to me and taught me so much over the years. I can't wait to visit so we can go play.
.

Dan, I always tell people how lucky I am to have you as a Father-in-law. I know Matt wouldn't be half the man he is without such a strong example in his life. I am so grateful to you for how you are as a husband and dad because I know Matt gets a lot of how he is from you. I love you!

Now to the best dad in the world. Matt, you change my life for the better every day. I love you more than words can explain. Nothing makes me happier than seeing you with Sienna and what a wonderful dad you are. I love how you always want to be with us and how much you miss Sienna even when we are only away from her for a couple hours. Thank you for my beautiful Sienna and Sadie on the way. I know these girls will always look up to you and consider you one of their best friends. I love you! I'm going to stop before the post gets too mushy or I start to cry.

Birthday Present Cake

Today has been a crazy and stressful day but good things came from it. The stress was all due to a hectic experience at the doctor's office. Sienna has also had a fever all day of 101+ for some reason. Things have calmed down a lot though. Sienna is in bed and I have been playing in the kitchen some more. Licy had me make Ariana's birthday cake for her party tomorrow. She wanted it to look like a birthday present. This is what I came up with.
.
I am happy with it. The bow isn't as cute as I would like but I didn't have time to let the fondant dry. This was my first attempt at using fondant. I still frosted the cake with buttercream frosting because I personally think fondant is disgusting.

What do you think?

Our friend Alex hung out with us all day yesterday and Sienna loved it.

Alex was a good sport and let Sienna help him push the buttons as he played XBOX 360. He was really good with her but he didn't like it when I told him I thought Sienna had a crush on him.

class

Class went well tonight. Again, nothing too new was learned but she did teach us a couple more tricks. I am kind of bummed though because my teacher put the balloon pattern on my cake to show the class how - as you can see the balloons are really low and not centered very well. At least I can say I didn't do it. To make things better, as we were leaving class my teacher went to move the table and the legs collapsed making everything including my cake go flying. There was one other girl that had her cake on the table too. I was lucky and it didn't do any damage to the top of my cake. The other girl's cake was destroyed. It was so sad. I didn't mind my cake being dumped but my tips were also on the table to I don't know if I have them all. Overall, it was really fun and I like a lot of the girls that are taking the class with me.
.
I was going to take this cake to some friends but it was dropped and Matt wants a piece.

Can you see the bulges? The icing on the side of the cake fell off and shifted but other than that it did pretty well.

Ugliest Cake Ever

I shouldn't even show pictures of this disaster. I had a cake all ready to go for my class tomorrow but then some friends invited us over to watch the game. I decided to take a cake with us. So, today after church I had to bake another cake, frost both of them, and then attempt to decorate tonight's cake. I have to take a cake to class tomorrow that just has the base coat of frosting on it as well as a lot of extra icing of different consistency to use for decorating. The next 3 weeks we take a cake and decorate it there. Anyway, after making 3 or 4 batches of icing I was sick of being in the kitchen. When it came down to actually decorating the cake for tonight I wimped out. I was going to do a basketball or something with a lot of detail but decided to save some time. Long story short, I decorated this cake so fast and it is absolutely hideous. I just hope it is edible.
. My hands were so sore that I didn't even take 10 seconds to do the writing. Don't you love how it is off center and extremely sloppy? (PS. I am not a Celtics fan by any means- just hate the Lakers)

I know roses have nothing to do with the Celtics but I wanted to practice. I am happy with how they turned out. My instructor said they hardest part of decorating and this was only my second time trying them. The first time, they all looked like cabbages. I am excited for them to teach us how to make good looking roses in my classes.

This is the cake for class tomorrow. I am very pleased with it. Completely opposite of the first cake, this one has no crumbs in the icing and it is pretty smooth. Yeah. Not a complete failure.

This was Sienna going down the slide with Lauren at McDonald's a few days ago. I was crazy enough to climb up with her once but then Lauren took it from there. Thanks Lauren!!!

Going in for a kiss. These two are so funny together. There were about 6 older kids playing on the equipment and Sienna and Ben would just run around in circles after them screaming and laughing. It was so fun. It was nice to see Ben again, it's been awhile.

Quack Quack Quack

Sienna and I got up early this morning to go feed our friends' dog. When we were done, we decided to go feed the ducks while it was still bearable outside. It was already over 80 degrees at 8 o'clock this morning.
.
If you haven't heard Sienna say, "quack, quack, quack" make sure you ask her what a duck says next time you see us.

We're still in our PJ's. I wasn't planning on being in any pictures but...

... this guy kept going right for Sienna. It didn't scare her but it sure freaked me out. There were so many ducks there handful of geese or whatever this thing is. They kept getting way too close for comfort.

Just sitting and watching.

I Love Productive Days

Sienna and I have already gotten so much done today. I love these kind of days when I feel like I have actually accomplished something around the house instead of just playing and napping. I am mostly excited about what we have done today because we are able to mark something else off of our to-do list before Sadie comes. We are running out of time to get these things taken care of.
.
Sienna and I ran to Walmart first thing this morning to buy some storage bins/drawers for the baby's clothes. We came home to do 3 loads of laundry and we have also organized all of Sienna's clothes, getting out her newborn outfits for Sadie and putting away what is now too small for Sienna. I am blown away at how small Sienna used to be. She was only 6 lbs 11oz at birth. Looking at her old clothes brought back so many irreplaceable memories and made me so excited to make new ones with her and Sadie. Every outfit seemed to have its own memories that went with it. I am so blessed to have such a beautiful baby girl and I can't believe that we really have another one coming so soon.
.
I am also excited for tonight because it is my first cake decorating class. I have class every Monday night for the next 4 weeks.
.
This weekend we got out Sienna's old car seat to put in the van. Ironically, Sienna loves sitting in it and even wanted to be buckled. I guess she doesn't remember how much she hated this thing when she was younger.
.
Here are some updates to the girls' room. This past weekend Matt hung up some butterflies and a cross-stitch from my mom. We also bought a badly needed fan. We aren't quite done yet. I intend on hanging both of their names above the crib in block letters with ribbons soon as well as hanging up a few more signs/pictures.

Here is their room from the other angle. It fits the bunk beds, crib, dresser, and rocker all comfortably. Too bad there isn't still room for the cuddle bag. I don't know what to do with that thing. I want to keep it but we have no room for it anywhere. Anyone want to borrow a cuddle bag?

Close up of the butterflies that we got in Moab.

We wouldn't have room for another dresser anyway and this works out perfectly.

Here is a close up look of part of the cross stitch my mom made for the girls.
