“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

VACATION!

We've talked about going since we've lived here but next month we're finally doing it. We're taking a week off of work and heading to Nauvoo! We are all so anxious to get away together as a family and see some wonderful church history sites. I have always wanted to go but never have and I am thrilled.

Update

I feel like I have kind of disappeared from the blogging world and updating people on what is going on in our lives. Mostly, we are basically up to the same every day things that we are always doing. The girls are getting so big and so smart. Sienna loves playing word games that we made up where we will quiz each other on what letter words start with or what rhymes with certain words. Sadie is growing up so much and getting so smart too. She is hilarious and full of sarcasm. I cannot believe the things that a two year old can come up with already but she has us laughing daily by the things she says. Baby T is doing great, and I feel great. Less than 3 more months left. I really think he is going to make his entrance sooner than necessary. I don't know why I feel that way but I do and have from day one. Now that I have said that out loud, he'll probably come 4 days late on Christmas. We are healthy, happy, and having so much fun. Matt has been working so hard and has been super busy with work and his calling so we take advantage and enjoy any down time or family time that we get. I have been keeping busy with getting my year supply of food storage finalized and re-doing my 72 hour kits with the girls. I have really enjoyed going through everything and trying to get better organized. We have had some great conversations with friends lately that have lead us to focusing on being prepared and that is what we are working towards the rest of the year. Lots of things going on in the next few months with holidays, babies, family, etc and we couldn't be more excited for any of it. I think we might try to throw in a fall trip somewhere too if we can get around to it but we'll see.

Sporting their new BYU shirts from Grandma Anne. Just wait til you see their darling hats!

I LOVE this picture, I think she is just gorgeous. She is my little sweetheart and keeps me humble. I have been irritable lately but she just responds in the sweetest ways. I am grateful for my girls' willingness to forgive both me and each other so quickly. They are special little angels that make every day so amazing. I want to be like them.

Making silly faces.

Little miss mullet trying to steal my whipped cream. (Sadie's bangs are so close to growing out so we can have a little bob. We pull them back every day which is darling but I am excited to swoop them to the side with a little clip too. We both, especially Matt, miss her bangs and it gets tempting to cut them but we're holding off for now. Once the front sides are as long as the rest, we can cut the very front and give her bangs again.)

Love My People

I just came across these pictures and don't remember ever posting them. They are from Matt's birthday a few months ago. These pictures make me happy because these three are my favorite people ever. I am so blessed and fortunate to have such a wonderful-loving family. I have the most understanding and level headed husband and my girls are as sweet as they come. I really do love my people. I am surrounded by amazing family and friends that are all included in my 'people' but these three are definitely my very favorite!! They make life so easy and enjoyable.

Remember This?

Remember when this happened to Sienna?
.
Well, today was Sadie's turn. Sienna had left for Joci's house and Sadie and I were getting ready to head out for a little play date. Sadie wanted a few more minutes to finish 'baking her cake' in the playroom. I went to change my shirt and heard a thud. Sadie met me in the hallway with tears and blood running down her face. She stopped crying almost immediately but wouldn't take her hand off of her owie. Luckily, it wasn't gushing like Sienna's did and I decided stitches were not the best option. Sadie is as tough as nails and let me clean it up and put on a bandaid without fighting me or crying. Her only request was that she wanted a donut and M&Ms. Fair enough!
.
My poor baby!! Both of my girls have the biggest and sweetest puppy eyes ever which make these pictures even more sad.

She chose out a green bandaid to cover up her boo-boo.

The best medicine, even better than a donut and M&Ms is HANNAH!! Sadie was a trooper and we still made our play date. (Sadie and 5 boys ...and Hannah!!) She is so in love with Hannah and has started gathering things around the house to give her.

Smitten

Matt holds Hannah quite a bit, I hold her even more, and now Sadie is catching the Hannah bug. She's had it all along actually. Ever since Hannah was born, Sadie has been smitten. She talks about her all day, every day. She'll even tell strangers about her. The other day we let Sadie hold Hannah and now she has a new favorite hobby. She is super soft and sweet with her. I love watching her love on Hannah. If she loves her baby brother half as much as Hannah, we're going to do great!! The funniest/sweetest thing about this to me though is that Sadie isn't like this with all babies. She loves babies but Hannah is extra special to her. Sienna loves Hannah too and talks about her often. She hasn't even held her but she will always give her big smiles and say nice things about her.
.
Sadie now asks to hold Hannah everytime we see them. She is seriously in love with this girl!

Zoo

Labor Day weekend started off with us dropping Bryan and Allie off at the airport, going to breakfast with the Mathis clan at Cracker Barrel, and then hanging out at the zoo. This evening we're having a BBQ and watching the BYU football game. Even though all four of us really wanted to hop on the plane with B&A and head to Utah too, we've had a great start to our three day weekend.
.

Forgive the cheesy smile from me, I was trying to tell the lady how to use the camera.

Sienna Started Dance

Sienna is taking ballet and tap dance classes with her best friend Audrey.
.
Sadie really wanted to go to dance too. She tried on several shoes at the store and insisted she was going to dance too.

Our little ballerinas. I love that they match, they're so sweet.

Sadie peeking into Sienna's class. She kept trying to join them but at least Drew was there to keep her entertained.
