TRICK OR TREAT!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. First we had our ward party and chili cook off on Saturday. I helped the primary presidency organize and manage the party which was a lot of fun. I didn't make a chili this year, but I did take a crock-pot full of canned chili to make sure there was enough food for everyone to eat. Surprisingly and funny enough, my chili won the cook off. It was hilarious and sad as there were several people that spent a lot of money and time making delicious chili. The funniest part was that the person that won second place (my good friend Daniela) used the exact same canned chili as me. Oops, judges!!

Since Halloween was on a Monday this year, things were a bit crazy. Sienna and Sadie went to their first ever "pre-party" with their good friend Kaley. I cannot believe my kids are getting big enough for this kind of stuff. After their party, they came home and we went trick or treating with our friends Allie, Ema, and their new baby Charlie. It was a cold and fun night that ended with loads and loads of goodies for everyone.

Happy Halloween!! Hope you had a great day too.

Wake Me When It's Christmas!!

Quite the Sight at Costco

Between Abby in her costume and Ava having a massive blow out in the car, we were quite the sight at Costco today. I don't remember the last time one of my babies had a blow out, but this was bad. I don't even know why I didn't just drive home. We live down the street from Costco, but since we were there I wanted to get our shopping done. Thankfully Ava could wear Abby's jacket and we got our shopping done. Plus we got to see our sweet friend Marta who is in charge of all the flowers and she spoiled the girls like usual. All in all, it was a fun trip. The only downside is the way the car smells.

So Much Walking

We love that we can walk to school everyday. I've also gotten into this wonderful habit of going on a walk after we drop off the kids almost every morning. My friend and and meet up and walk anywhere from an hour to two and half depending on how things go. It has become part of my routine that I really look forward to and crave. Sometimes we get a lot accomplished and walk several hills, etc.. Other times, the girls are restless and want to walk themselves and it turns more into a snail crawl. Usually the kids do great though and either way it is a lot of fun.
(PS. How cute is Sienna pushing her siblings? Little mama in the making.)

Why We LOVE Weekends

Weekends equal family time. Nothing beats family time. Therefore, weekends are our favorite. This weekend we did our soccer games which were quite muddy. Then we went to the Danville festival. It wasn't as exciting as we had hoped as far as trick or treating and other kid events are concerned, but we still had a great time putting our costumes on and walking around. We chose out our pumpkins. We ran out of time to carve them, so we did that for family home evening tonight instead. Don't you love Tanner's face from when we told him to "man up" and dive into his pumpkin. We are such cruel parents sometimes, but it ended up being a lot of fun.

Mother-Son Monster Mash

Mother-Son Monster Mash tonight with my favorite little man. Tanner has been practicing his dance moves, and I'm super excited for our time together.
