“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

A Little About Me

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Me
My friends were doing this on Facebook and I haven't done anything like this for awhile and thought it was fun. My friends had some really great "confessions" that inspired me and made me want to be a better person. With that said, mine aren't as exciting but I had fun anyway. Aside from these top 5, if I got to choose anything to be remembered by I hope it would be something along the lines about how much I love my people. That doesn't just include the family I have made with Matt but I am passionate about people and would do most anything for anyone.  I have been blessed with the most amazing family and friends and this past week It has become even more evident how lucky I truly am.

With that said, here are the five things I posted online and pictures of me with my most favorite people in the world.

1. I don't mind doing dishes or laundry. In fact, I hate having dishes in the sink or dirty laundry in the basket so I do them quite often. I HATE dusting though.
2. I really would love to have 8 kids and I am both intrigued and scared that at least one might be born overseas (or that at this rate, Matt is going to end up delivering them).
3. I am incredibly jealous of people like. Jon Huntsman Sr and have always dreamed of being rich so I could give my money away and be a philanthropist.
4. I want to travel the world but have way too much anxiety of leaving my kids.
5. I don't wear makeup except mascara. Mostly because I don't want to fuss with it or know how to apply it and still look "normal."

Beard Break

I don't love all of the no-shave competitions that the boys at BYU especially when they all grow their nasty mustaches but I have to admit my husband pulls off the beard pretty well.  This was over Christmas break. It's nice to have his smooth face back but I do love Matt with a beard or goatee.  This is probably the longest I've ever seen it though and we were both ready to say goodbye.

Giant Icicle

Nobody knows how to have fun like Grandma Anne. She is always coming up with new crafts or games to do with the kids. The other day she brought in an icicle that was taller than all of them.  They thought it was so neat and fun to lick a giant icicle but soon it got too cold and made its way back outside.

Winter Formal

Matt's program put together a winter ball for everyone and it was so much fun.  Matt and I get to go out a good amount but it is always fun for the added excuse to get dressed up and have a fancy date with such good friends.  The dance was at Noah's Reception Hall in Lindon and it was a great venue and the food was yummy too.  My favorite part is the program that our friends. They always  do such a great job and have us rolling with laughter. (Yes, my good friend Melanie and I ended up wearing the same dress. Too funny but I couldn't pick a better person to be twiners with.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA!

It was Nana's birthday and we have spent many days/weeks trying to figure out how to make it special.  It is so hard coming up with something adequate for someone so special and influential in your life. Andrea is such an amazing person and friend to all of us. The kids adore her and look forward to seeing her and she has always been a great friend and example to Matt and myself.  I think the most important thing for Andrea is being with her people and we were able to all be together with her on her special day.  Since it was Nana's BIG 5-0 birthday, all of the (5) kids and significant others got her 10 black balloons and attached some favorite memories/pictures to the bottom and had them floating for when we got back from dinner.  We went to California Pizza Kitchen and then came home for cake that Papa made and presents. Oh, and we all sucked helium to sing Happy Birthday which was hilarious.  It was a great night as a family.  Happy Birthday, Andrea! You'll never properly understand how much you mean to all of us because there just aren't words or actions enough to show it.
