“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

Rescued a Kitty

First of all, apparently Ava is going as a big girl for Halloween this year. Goodness she is changing too much too fast. I love her spunky little self. She is fiercely independent and crazy fun.

This morning on our way out the door to take Abby to school we heard some crazy noises. It sounded like a young child whining. It ended up being a cat stuck on top of our neighbor's house across the street. The girls and I tried to help get the kitty down but it was very angry and scared. We took our ladder over but it wasn't quite tall enough. After spending several minutes trying to help the neighbors I decided I needed to get Abby to school. As I was backing out of the driveway, I realized my car was taller than the ladder. I backed out of my driveway straight into theirs and was able to run up my car and grab the cat. It wasn't a big deal, but the girls thought it was so neat they aided in saving a kitty.

Friends

We were able to catch up with a few friends today that we haven't seen in awhile. Sienna and Bela were great friends at their school last year. We are sad to have moved to a new elementary, but that won't stop us from getting these sweet girls together. We were also able to catch up with Auntie Jenny and Kaden.

Blondies

IKEA and Costco with my blondies today. IKEA never impresses me as much as I hope or expect, but it's always a good time with my girls.

$IENNA FOR TREASURER

We didn't get the best picture, but I'm super anxious for today. I don't care if Sienna wins or not, but it would be so good for her if she made finals and was able to participate in the class. I'm proud of her for choosing to run although she is at a new school and doesn't know many kids yet. She ended up not making the class, but she had such a good attitude and had fun participating. I love this girl! She brings so much peace and love into our home.

Ready for Church

Abby and mommy wearing the same lipstick and mascara. We are ready for church. We are even more ready to get daddy from the airport as soon as church is over! I don't wear makeup often, but when I do, my four year old wears it better.

Guys' Trip

Matt never (and I truly mean never) does anything for himself. I am so glad he met up with some of his closest friends from his MBA program this weekend. He is having a great time and claims to still be in one piece. I am super clingy and hate being away from Matt, but the kids have been great helpers and so much fun. Ava even slept 12 hours last night which is four times as much as two nights before.
...
I'm so ready to see my handsome scruffy man today. These pictures make me so happy though. He spent his weekend with the cream of the crop as far as guys are concerned. I can't wait to hear more details about his adventures, and I have some pretty excited kiddos with stories of their own. I just have to survive three hours of church with six kids (our 5+ a friend) first before we can pick him up.

Best Job Ever

Being a mom is the best job ever. I lose my cool and my mind more often than I should, but it is all worth it because I get to be with these little people everyday. Children are so forgiving and loving and they make me a better person.
