“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

Utah May 2010

I finally figured out how to upload the rest of my pictures from my phone. Here are some pictures from our trip to Utah in May.
.
The girls love playing in my parents' backyard.
.
We spent a lot of time swinging.
.
Eating lunch at Grandpa Doug's work with him.

My parents were remodeling their house so we spent most of our time in their bedroom. The girls loved it because they got a lot of FEZ time.

Playing with some awesome toys in Grandma's room.

Goggles

Sienna wears goggles to swim, Sadie wears them to eat. I cannot tell you how much I love my girls and how they make my life so much fun. Sienna is as sweet as they come and is constantly telling us she loves us or she is sorry. Sadie has turned into quite the little stinker but is still one of the most hilarious little people around. They both snuggle me almost every morning and we have lots of fun in our adventures together. Most of all, I love how they love each other. They always have each others' backs. I am so grateful for my little SAS duo.

She Can Swim

I'm sorry one of the videos is sideways. Matt was able to come home from work early today because the computers were down and we've had fun swimming as a family. Sienna is getting better and better at swimming. She has a new found confidence that scares us a little bit but also makes us so excited. Today she jumped in at one point and attempted to swim across the pool toward Matt, the only problem being that she didn't warn him she was coming. Sadie is getting pretty brave too. We're definitely going to have to have a swimming pool in our own backyard one of these days because we love having the quick easy access. We are very spoiled by our good friends next door.

2 Favorite Quotes

This has always been one of my favorite quotes and it is a great time for me to reflect on it for many different reasons. I found the second quote and I am going to have put it on the girls' wall in vinyl lettering.
.
"People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be good enough.
Do good anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
It never was between you and them anyway."
-Mother Teresa
..
"You are the poems I dreamed of writing
the masterpieces I longed to paint.
You are the shining stars I reached for
In my ever hopeful quest for life fulfilled... You are my children.
Now with all things I am blessed."

Personal

I think this scale is hilarious. My goal is to stay closer to the duck than the pig or cow this time around.

This may sound vain but I intentionally backdated this post so people wouldn't come across it. I don't care if people want to read it but I don't want to offend or upset anyone. I just want to have this as part of my journal for future reference.

Today at the doctor we compared notes from my previous pregnancies. I knew that I gained a little bit of weight before getting pregnant with Sienna and when I conceived her, I weighed about 120. With Sadie, I weighed 110. I delivered both girls weighing in at 152. That is 32 pregnancy pounds with Sienna and 42 with Sadie. I had decided I didn't care what I gained but my goal is to never pass that number. Now I have a different goal. I would LOVE to only gain 25-30lbs this pregnancy. I can tell that my stomach (not my back fat) is smaller this time around than in the past but I wasn't certain. My doctor couldn't look up how much I weighed at 21 weeks with Sienna because I wasn't seeing her at that point but with Sadie, I weighed 130lbs at 20 weeks. Today I am 21 weeks and 3 days and weigh 122 pounds! I was thrilled when I heard that I weigh 8 pounds less and I'm a week and a half farther along. I have only ever gained more than a pound a week once or twice. If I continue to only gain a pound a week or less this pregnancy, I could weigh less than 140 when I deliver. It makes me laugh because I have friends that complain about weighing more than their husbands when they're pregnant but I cannot complain. Matt happens to be a light weight weighing in at 140 soaking wet but more realistically about 135. It would be fun to not out weigh him this time around but I am not counting on it. Who knows, maybe I'll gain 10 pounds this month and end up right at that 152 again. I really have been trying to stay more active this pregnancy and eat healthier. Having two kids helps keep me busier automatically but I have also tried to consciously make an effort to take the stairs versus elevator, eat better, and be more active. I still eat way too much including snacks and goodies but I eat a lot more better food in addition to all of my junk. We'll see in December if I was able to keep this up.

Half Way!

I'll be 20 weeks on Tuesday so I'm halfway there. This pregnancy is flying by for me and I hope that continues. Here is a picture that actually shows my tummy. Besides the growing proof, I still don't feel that pregnant. The baby moves some here and there but not tons and I don't think near as much as either of my girls. I haven't been sick with this pregnancy either which makes it nice. I am always tired and I contribute half of that to the heat and the other to the growing man inside of me. I really hope when it comes to labor and delivery that things go as smoothly as they did with Sienna and Sadie. I have two main fears when it comes to giving birth. 1. Having to have a c-section for some reason. (I know they're not the worst thing in the world, most of my closest friends have had 2-3 c-sections each including my sister but they still make me nervous.) 2. Labor moving too quickly that I don't have time to make it to the hospital. I guess I have a third fear this time around too which is going super early or even late. I feel a lot more of my body getting ready this time around which makes me think I'll go earlier than in the past but then I fear going over my due date too just because I feel so sure he'll come early. All of these fears admitted, I just want a healthy baby and I'll take whatever else comes with getting him here to me.
