Lunch With the Roos

Matt is so great about finding things for us to do as a family. He found a place called Serpentine Falls which was a small walk to a waterfall where you can swim and play. It turned out to be a lot of fun. As much as we love the outdoors and waterfalls, the best part of our day was our surprise lunch with the Kangaroos. We saw a couple of kangaroos when we were getting out of the car. I was pretty uptight about the kids keeping their distance because I know they can be aggressive. We took a few pictures with them in the background and then went to play in the water. After playing in the water we sat down to eat our picnic and the roos decided to join us. They were completely comfortable around us and acted like house pets. It still worried me, but they were coming right up to us, crawling under our seats, and trying to get us to feed them. It was quite hilarious watching them and watching our kids react to them. Our favorite was when a big kangaroo walked right through some college girls from the USA eating on the ground. The kangaroos were acting just like dogs making their way through the girls' blanket and trying to get to the food. It was hilarious. Another win for daddy planning a great day for the family!
