“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

Halloween

The girls didn't have school today so we met my friend and the kids she nannies at the farmer's market for some crafts and games. The kids also got a Gelato-lollipop. Then we went and played at the park for a couple of hours. Now we're finishing up some pizza and will be headed out for some trick or treating and then will call it a night. The kids also had fun taking pictures of mommy and her each other.

Trunk or Treat and Carving Pumpkins

My parents sent us a Halloween package and it included these crazy pumpkin teeth. It sure made carving pumpkins fun for the kids this year. We also had our Trunk or Treat on Saturday with our ward and chili cook off. There was a great turn out and we had so much fun.

Me and Tana Layton. She is one of the sweetest girls I've ever known. We're going to miss their family so much. Her dad is our bishop, but we've all become pretty good friends. They have Ava-11, Tana-9, Soren-7, Ivy-6, and Smith-3. The kids fit in perfectly with ours and we've had a lot of fun together.

FHE - Canadian Thanksgiving

We had a combined family home evening tonight with some friends. We went with the Laytons and Higas to Prince Island. We had a lesson about Thanksgiving and then played a lot of games in the leaves. We raked a huge pile together and then played a version of kick the can. The person that was it would be covered in the leaves and count. When they came out they would try to find everyone else and tag them before they got to the pile of leaves. It was such a fun night. We also played Frisbee, football, and just hung out.

Earlier today, our family had a traditional Thanksgiving lunch together which was a lot of fun. It all turned out pretty great too. We had turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy, and some of our favorite sides like cranberry sauce, black olives, and rolls. It was a great end to a great weekend. I am bummed the girls and Matt have school and work tomorrow, but having a Monday off was kind of awesome.
