Clean Up

We are packed, showered, and the house is clean. Now we are just waiting until it is time to pick daddy up from work and head to the airport. Sienna is so excited to play with her cousins.

Sienna cleaning up her green beans that she dumped on the floor. I ruined the video by the last thing I said but it is still funny watching her. Sienna did eventually throw the rest of the beans away.

Before, During, and After

Today I experienced what I can only imagine was one of the worst wellness visit doctor appointments of all times. Okay, it really wasn't that bad but still, it wore me out. I thought it would be a good idea to have the girls get shots at the same time so I wouldn't have to go back twice. I am just grateful that their appointments won't fall at the same time again for a long time. Anyway, as most of you know Sienna HATES the doctor's office. Just "weighing in" is enough to throw her into tantrum mode crying and begging to be all done and go home. A few of my highlights today were the doctor asking me, "Does Sienna say at least 6 words?", Sadie kicking herself off of the scale, Sienna being so upset that she gagged and threw up a huge mouthful of mucus all over me, and dancing around the room holding both screaming children for a good 30+ minutes. Sadie typically would have been great but she was starving and I wanted to wait until after her shots to feed her. I didn't think I would be green but I am happy with who I am!

Little Moments

I love the little moments I have with my girls that may seem so simple or small but they mean the world to me. The other day while waiting for Matt to come home from work, Sienna and I just rolled around on the floor laughing for over an hour together. That time was also spent with Sienna giving Sadie hugs, kisses, and trying to pick her up. I love my girls and we have fun doing just about anything together.

Sienna always wants to be with Sadie. Sadie started out smiling but got sick of daddy putting her on Sienna's lap multiple times.

Sadie is such a happy baby. She even smiles when Sienna is constantly smothering her. She has been such a good baby that brings such happiness to all of us.

Sadie is also a big binky/finger sucker. Actually, she sucks on pretty much anything. She'll put blankets, toys, her fingers, my fingers, etc in her mouth and just suck away. She is loud too. A lot of times we'll know she is awake because we'll hear her going to town on her hands and not crying.

Sienna going on a "wide" with Elmo. Out of nowhere she pulled out her laundry basket and said, "Elmo, wide" and started pushing him around the living room. She has recently become so imaginitive.

She crawls down more than slides. We took her to the park during Matt's lunch this week and she finally went down the BIG slides by herself. It was so fun.

59-0, Go Cougars!

Matt and I upgraded our dish package so we could get the BYU game Saturday. We had some friends over and ate popcorn, pizza, and enjoyed the company and the game. It was such a nice weekend and we were lucky enough to avoid the storms. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Galveston and Houston as well as everywhere else hit by the hurricane. (Other big news- Sienna went to nursery today in church and did great. She even told them she needed to go potty and they came and got me!!! I can't believe my little girl is 18 months old.)

Pigtails

I did it. I finally got Sienna's hair in a pigtail. It was a battle that I almost didn't win. I had to pin her down after her bath and hold her with my legs. I know that sounds awful but that is the only way I would be able to do it. I have to do it right out of the tub too because it is much easier when her hair is wet. The girls were so funny in the tub today. Sadie was just smiling and enjoying the water. Sienna kept pouring water in her own face and laughing. When I was drying Sadie off and getting her dressed out of nowhere Sienna decided to dump a cup full of water over the edge and got us all wet. It was the highlight of her bath.
