Morning Walks

Now that we only have one car, Matt carpools to work almost every day. I still have to drive him to our friends' house but it only takes 15-20 minutes and then I get the car. Instead of going back to bed when we drop Matt off, Sienna and I have started going for morning walks around the neighborhood. I really enjoy this because it feels great to be outside but it gets too hot during the middle of the day. It also wakes us up and motivates us to do more throughout the day. Sometimes we walk with friends, sometimes we walk alone. Sienna does really well in the stroller and loves watching everything around us.
.
THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY (a three day weekend at that)!!
Sienna and I are going to pick Matt up from work tonight and then go eat some Costa Vida. After dinner, we will pick up some friends and head for San Antonio. Mike and Dyan are riding with us but we will be dropping them off in Austin on the way. Matt and I are so excited to take a little trip and get away for a couple of days. We would have loved to go to Utah and be with everyone but it just didn't work out this time. I love San Antonio and it will be fun to see the Richardsons.
.
Still waking up. We had just dropped Matt off and came back to start our morning walk. Sienna was pretty tired but she quickly woke up. I think these walks really exhaust Sienna because she has taken a 3 hour morning nap the past few days after our walks.

Just relaxing and enjoying the ride. I don't buckle Sienna in her stroller, so she can just lounge out and have a good time. Don't you love her little smirk?

Confused when I lowered the sun shade.

She got tired of the stroller yesterday so we walked the rest of the way home like this. It was pretty funny and we got some interesting looks from people as they drove by.

We went to the Cheesecake Factory with Alyssa and Jessie. Sienna was eating the bananas off of my cheesecake.

More bananas, please!

After our morning walks, we come home and do 100 push-ups. Well, Sienna does.

You can't see it so well in this picture, but she is on her knees. She crawls a tiny bit here and there but not so much yet. She'll get it soon.

Who Does She Look Like?

Jake and Reni did this fun thing online. I agree with Reni that the website is a load of garbage because it changed with different pictures. However, it never said that she looked more like Matt.
.

My sister thinks that Sienna looks just like Matt and his family, but this website disagrees. It thinks Sienna looks more like me by 38%. Most of the pictures that I put in came up that Sienna looked about 13% more like me. Kind of fun!

Sitting Up

This has been another crazy week and we have an even crazier week ahead of us. We won our last softball game of the season. Yesterday, Matt and I had a baby shower at our house for Brandon and Sharee Poyfair. Brandon and Sharee are good friends and we are so excited for the arrival of Kyla in November. I had so much fun baking and preparing everything for the shower. It turned out really nice too. Matt just laughs because after everyone left, we cleaned up and I was saying how I wanted to invite people over for games. Instead of having people come over, the three of us took a good 2-3 hour nap. It was heaven. We ended last night with some delicious Mexican food with Ben, Lauren, Mike, Dyan, and little Ben again. There isn't a better way to end a weekend than eating good food with good friends. Tonight, we will have Brooke and Ryan from the ward over for dinner and games. They are also having a little girl soon. So many friends, so many babies. Maybe we should have another one! (Good thing Matt is asleep or he would probably hit me!)
.
This is our attempt of a family photo for the day. It didn't really work.

This smile is special for Uncle Kyle. Kyle had his farewell today and leaves in 2 weeks for New Zealand. We are so sad we don't get to see him before he leaves. Both mommy and Sienna cry when they think about it. We will send him lots of letters and goodies though.

.

We did it! We got a picture of her 2 teeth. This is Sienna trying to eat the camera. She opens her mouth and leans towards anything put in front of her.

Sienna reading with daddy.

Mom and Sienna. Sienna was very tired.

She is sitting up so well. She has had a couple of tumbles but not too many.

This is Sienna on our bed. She absolutely loves our bed and gets so excited anytime we let her play on it. Right after this picture she crawled/scooted off of the bed head first. I caught her and she loved it and did it a couple more times. It looks like play time on the bed is close to over.

Sienna after church trying to crawl.

This is Sienna's favorite toy right now. She loves grabbing onto the knobs and throwing it behind her.

She has got her balance down pretty well. Now that we are sitting up, it is time to crawl!

COWBOYS 31- BRONCOS 20 (Sorry G-ma Andrea)!!!

Matt and I had another great weekend. Friday we went to Baja -an awesome Mexican restaurant- with Ben, Lauren, Mike, and Dyan from work. I think we are going to try and do more with them, they are a lot of fun. That night we went to help Brandon and Sharee move in but we were a little late and they were practically done. Saturday, we ran a few errands and then went to the Dallas Cowboy/Denver Broncos football game. This is the first time since Sienna was born that we went out on a date without her. Ted and Alyssa were nice enough to watch her for us and I am sure Sienna enjoyed playing with Jessie. Yesterday, was stake conference. It was a really good meeting followed up by dessert and games with Brooke and Ryan. It was another busy weekend, but it was fun to see so many people.
.
GO COWBOYS!! I forgot my camera but we got a picture on our phone. Matt and I were surprised at how small Texas Stadium was but it was still tons of fun. It made both of us miss going to BYU games with my family. Next to our families and cold stone, we probably miss BYU games the most.
.
I can't post something on the blog without including a picture of Sienna, even if it is a goofy picture. Sienna is constantly sucking on her bottom lip and making funny noises. She has 2 teeth and loves to chew on everything.
Sienna misses her grandmas so much and we are trying to figure out when she will be going to Utah next. Right now, it is looking like we will be coming for Thanksgiving!!!

Baby Boot Camp

This has been a crazy week. I have been watching Ben all day since Tuesday. It comes to about 11 hours a day. Yesterday was a little rough but today has been great. He is such a fun and easy baby. Right now, both Sienna and Ben are taking naps.
.
This is a cute little nightgown from Great Grandma Shumway. It is a little big but we wanted to take a picture. It is her "Ella gown" because Ella loves silky PJs. So pretty!

Sleeping like a rock.
.

Matt and I couldn't resist these shoes the other day. They were cheap and they are super adorable.

"First of all, I want to thank my keds because I couldn't have done it without them" -Pam from "The Office"

Ben has the cutest smile ever. He is such a sweetheart and loves to snuggle and give hugs.
.

Ben is so funny. He loves Sienna's bouncer but he doesn't really sit in it. Instead, he crawls up it and bounces a little bit, then he crawls off. He did this consistently until I put it away. I took the bouncer away from him because he was getting red marks up and down his legs and I didn't think it was a good idea to send him home bruised.

Sienna is really starting to enjoy her jumperoo. She can move around in circles and has learned to play with all of the different toys on it.

Sienna always has one hand tucked to her side while she uses her other hand to play.

This kind of captures Sienna's look of concentration. She usually puckers her lips out a lot more than this.

Green Beans

Happy Sunday! Today has been a great day. Sienna was a little fussy at church because of her teeth but she didn't do too bad. Matt taught Elders' Quorum while Sienna and I hung out in Relief Society. We took some frozen carrots for Sienna to suck on to help her gums feel better (tip from Grandma Andrea). Whether it made her feel better or not, she liked sucking on them. Sienna is currently taking a nap and Matt and I made snicker-doodles. YUM! We had a super fun weekend too. Friday we played Wii with a bunch of friends for Ted's birthday. Saturday we went to good ol' Joe T. Garcias. Man, that is some good Mexican. Last night we went to the park for a free concert with Erin, Kevin, Dana, and Sophie. Good times. It just stinks that the weekend is already over.
.
Sienna got a package in the mail from Grandma Anne. It came with this adorable new dress and a whole bunch of fun new toys. Sienna loves all of the toys, especially the giraffe she has in her hand. She has started reaching for everything in front of her. We can't hold her and eat anymore because she grabs the food off of our plates and puts it in her mouth.

Look how happy she was with her new toys.

FEED ME!

Sienna knew that when we put her in her bouncer she was getting food. She didn't know that it would be green beans though. Today was the first time we fed her anything more than milk and oatmeal. She loved it.

It was nice that Sienna enjoyed her green beans, but it doesn't make for the best pictures. She just kept eating and eating without pulling a face or making too much of a mess.

V is for Victory!

We won our first softball game!!! It was a really fun game too. I didn't play so well though. I hit decently, fielded like garbage, but made some good throws. I played first base and missed some of the easiest hits/throws. It was really embarrassing. Oh well- at least my errors didn't cost us any runs. This beauty above is from sliding. I hit a double and slid into second base and then Jerry hit me in and I slid into home. All and all it was a fun game. Hopefully, TWG will forgive my stupidity at first base and let me play again!
.
We went to a Ranger's game with Matt's work on Tuesday. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone. I was too busy talking that I didn't see much of the game. We sat in center field and Byrd hit a home-run that came right to us and a guy with a fishing net jumped in front of everyone and caught it. It was pretty funny. Sienna and Jessie were so good at the game too!! What little troopers. There seemed to be more babies with our group than the rest of the stadium combined.

Oh yeah!! Look at me sitting up. She isn't sitting up consistently but she is doing really well.

We've been playing with Ben a lot lately. He is such a fun little guy. I love his smile and he is super easy to watch. Sienna loves when he comes over and watches every move he makes. Doesn't he have the best smile?
