“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

Sacajawea

I was able to sneak in and see Sadie give her report on Sacajawea. She was so brave and did a great job. The teacher and I both laugh as we talked about Sadie's preparation going into this report. She was so caught up with the fact that Sacajawea carried a baby with her for most of the journey. She brought it up multiple times in a conversation and wanted to talk about it over and over again. When it came to her presentation, she only mentioned it once but she thought it was so neat. I loved her teacher's feedback. Although Sadie had some struggles during the report writing process, her teacher was so pleased and impressed that regardless of the situation, she always made sure to find the good and point out the positives in Sacajawea's life. I am grateful my kids are known for looking at the good in things. I hope they stay that way.
